What’s Our Priorities: Obama Lifts Ban on Overseas Abortion Funding

01.23.2009 My Rants

I am not here to bash on abortion. This post is to bash on a President’s priorities, who in his first few days of being President finds the time energy and the wear with all to tackle the huge problem of… Federal funding for International groups who want to talk about Abortion. I find this preposterous. Obama doesn’t go after any other crises like taxes, war, crappy economy, housing meltdown, education and a myriad of other ailments but instead loosens the purse strings to foreign companies who want to discuss abortion.

Tom Hanks Apologizes for Calling Mormon Supporters of Proposition 8 ‘Un-American’

01.23.2009 My Rants

It appears that Tom Hanks must have felt some heat and or a little backlash from his “Un-American” comment about Mormons last week. While Hanks failed to say why he decided to apologize his publicist released this. Last week, I labeled members of the Mormon church who supported California’s Proposition 8 as ‘un-American,. I believe [...]

Ted Nugent 2nd Amendment Argument

01.21.2009 Guns

Today there was a high school shooting a few blocks from my work. Once again I was reminded of my personal safety. Here is Ted Nugent expressing a view that has become mine. Enjoy. My favorite quote: “I don’t want repeat offenders I would rather have dead offenders. Am I crazy?”

The official Flag of the Barack Obama States of America

01.18.2009 My Rants

I am a traditionalist in the sense that I believe that the United States Constitution should be left alone and not over interpreted. I am even more traditional in my views of Old Glory. Too many men and woman gave everything for this country. It should not be defiled.

Tom Hanks Attacks the Mormon Church by Calling Them Un-American…

01.17.2009 My Rants

“The truth is this takes place in Utah, the truth is these people are some bizarre offshoot of the Mormon Church, and the truth is a lot of Mormons gave a lot of money to the church to make Prop-8 happen,” he told FOX News. “There are a lot of people who feel that is un-American, and I am one of them. I do not like to see any discrimination codified on any piece of paper, any of the 50 states in America, but here’s what happens now. A little bit of light can be shed, and people can see who’s responsible, and that can motivate the next go around of our self correcting Constitution, and hopefully we can move forward instead of backwards. So let’s have faith in not only the American, but Californian, constitutional process.”

Lobbyists Shower Utah Legislators with Gifts But Fail To Report Anything.

01.14.2009 Politics

In today’s Salt Lake Tribune’s article Legislators racked up lobbyists’ gifts in ’08, but little disclosed, I read about one of my favorite local Utah politicians, R- Sheldon Killpack engaging in one of my most despised part of government, lobbyist handouts. It turns out that Sheldon Killpack was the big winner by taking home the most free handouts with a grand total of $1800. Unfortunately only $20,000 of the more than $170,000 doled out last year was traceable to individuals.
