Swine Flu -Its a Rerun but It’s Profitable

by eran 10.29.2009 Healthcare

I sometimes believe the media is so swine flu happy just so they can help sell this damn healthcare overhaul. (For the record its the wrong type of reform that Congress is pushing currently. ) The current President and much of Congress has been given a free pass by the media in my opinion. I am saying that the media seems to have been complicit in much of the governments actions lately.

Creating a healthcare panic might be good to push through a very unpopular bill. Government profiting from healthcare… this could be interesting. I don’t mean profit as in money but profit as bigger government more power. Government loves to expand and suck money.

by eran 10.23.2009 Business

I don’t know if this is a real Calvin and Hobbes but it illustrates some great points about American Business and our economy.
It appears lately that the American Business Juggernaut has been sidelined. I believe we have too much government intervention hindering business.  It has become easier to do business elsewhere. Its cheaper, its faster, more efficient for [...]

Cell Phone Location Accuracy: Don’t Let the Salesman Fool You.

by eran 10.12.2009 Internet

When a caller calls 9-1-1 the most important thing to convey to the call taker is location location location. Many times the caller can give this information but in some cases they can’t. This is where call location technology comes into play.

Information coded inside the call sends location data to the 9-1-1 call taker.

For the past 30 plus years the public has become accustom to the fact that when you call 911 from a land line that your address (Automatic Location Identifier or ALI) and phone number (Automatic Number Identification or ANI) information is displayed for the call taker on the other end of 9-1-1. This has given the public and first responders a level of comfort that even if you can’t speak if you can dial 9-1-1 we will find you. This is true.

How to Build a Business Warren Buffet Would Buy?

by eran 10.03.2009 Business

Be motivated by excellence, not money. You need to be better than all of your competitors. If you are, the profits will come.
Offer customers true value on quality products. A low price on a cheap piece of furniture is not value.
Think like a customer and treat them as you would like to be treated. Remember: we are agents for our customers and they can fire us at any time and take their business elsewhere.
