Its not often that Hollywood recognizes God but Matthew McConaughey did just that in a very passionate acceptance speech after winning an Oscar for Best Actor. I think he gave a great speech and something that should be looked up to by many.

“First off, I want to thank God, because that’s who I look up to. He has graced my life with opportunities that I know are not of my hand or of any other human hand,” McConaughey said. “He has shown me that … it’s a scientific fact that gratitude reciprocates. In the words of the late Charlie Laughton who said, ‘When you’ve got God you’ve got a friend — and that friend is you.’”

“My hero’s always 10 years away,” the actor said in a very humble and gracious acceptance speech. “I’m never going to attain that. That keeps me with somebody to keep on chasing.”
