The wonderful Wacky World of Utah Politics

Utah Politics at Its Wackiest 2010

by eran 03.01.2010 Utah Politics

I love the politics of Utah… It’s a train wreck that never ends and is endlessly entertaining. The jackasses that run this state are plentiful. The schemes mostly hare-brained and mostly we can blame the Mormons if you read the majority of commenter’s posts on Utah news sites.
Here are a few of my favorites this [...]

Jason Chaffetz Slays Pork in the Healthcare Reform Bill

Rep. Jason Chaffetz is Mr. Smith Goes To Washington

by eran 12.10.2009 Healthcare

Chaffetz: Everybody is going to have to be personally accountable and go back to their voters and they will say, you know what, I did not send you to Washington to write pork. …
They’re going to have to answer. The more they become creatures of Washington D.C., the more trouble they will have. I can just answer for myself and say I am proud I did not vote for it and did not put any crap in the bill.

9/11 Defendants Want Platform for Views

by eran 11.23.2009 My Rants

As far as the 9/11 conspirators, why don’t we just give them a 12 hour no holds bar attempt for the terrorists to explain their reasons for attacking innocent civilians on prime time TV? That way we could just get it over with instead of dragging it out for the next 20 years. Don’t the victims deserve swift justice? I am sure that it would be a killer on sweeps week. We could have the networks bid on it and use that money to recoup our loses for these war criminals.

Some of the Cost of 60 Senate Votes

by eran 11.23.2009 Healthcare

I love the new era of change in our government. I am so happy that we can have open and honest leadership.  This new age of transparency and change from the old methods of running our country are so refreshing.
What a bunch of baloney?
The healthcare debate made its debut in the Senate with a vote [...]

en. Lindsey Graham Grilling Attorney General Eric Holder

Who is your Daddy Attorney General Eric Holder?

by eran 11.19.2009 Politics

The big problem I have is that you’re criminalizing the war, that if we caught bin Laden tomorrow, we’d have mixed theories and we couldn’t turn him over — to the CIA, the FBI or military intelligence — for an interrogation on the battlefield, because now we’re saying that he is subject to criminal court in the United States. And you’re confusing the people fighting this war.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Speech to the United Nations.

by eran 09.24.2009 Leadership

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivers a Churchillian speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

Ladies and Gentlemen, all of Israel wants peace. Any time an Arab leader genuinely wanted peace with us, we made peace. We made peace with Egypt led by Anwar Sadat. We made peace with Jordan led by King Hussein. And if the Palestinians truly want peace, I and my government, and the people of Israel, will make peace. But we want a genuine peace, a defensible peace, a permanent peace.

And the Democrat Party Lays Down the Trump Card… Racism

by eran 09.15.2009 My Rants

It only took 238 days (7 months 26 days) for some ass clown to blame the falling Presidential approval rating to be “racism”.

Congratulations go out to the worst President of all time Jimmy Carter.

Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act “based on racism” and rooted in fears of a black president.

“I think it’s based on racism,” Carter said at a town hall held at his presidential center in Atlanta. “There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president.” – KSL.COM

“It wasn’t us.” Official Position from the White House on Email Spam

by eran 08.18.2009 Politics

It appears that the officials at the White House have now released an official statement in regards to this spam. Like all good politicians these days the White House pushes the blame on others… I am slightly surprised that they didn’t blame Fox News.
