Forest Lake Trail American Fork Canyon, Utah
07-15-05, I traded the 02 Jeep TJ for an 05 Jeep Rubicon. New Jeep Rubicon & Liberty Pictures. Since it was the maiden voyage of the new jeep I decided to hit a trail that has always been fairly easy with a few tough spots. The winter run off has changed this trail substantially. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I left work at Sundance Resort early and decided to take a drive into American Fork Canyon using the Alpine Loop. Â The trip was uneventful other than some wise guy asking me if I should be on a harder trail with my Rubicon.
Forest Lake is very full. There was evidence of knuckleheads driving in the lake. People should become more educated about offroading and the environment. - There seems to be a little suspension flex.
- Three wheeling it through a section of the trail. It is nice to be locked and not have to use tons of skinny pedal or powerbrake or coast through obstacles.
- Deer at Forest Lake
- Driving back… The picture didn’t turn out but the soon on the mountains in the distance was very cool and reminded me of how much I love being in the Utah Mountains.
