My Favorite John Cusack Movie Quotes from the 80’s

Growing up in the 80’s there were some great times. Many of my teenage memories involve either a John Hughes film or a John Cusack movie. John Cusack has been in some of my favorite comedy movies of all time. I thought I would share some of my favorite John Cusack Movies

Here are a few scenes and quotes from them.

Say Anything

My favorite Quote from Say Anything:

Lloyd Dobler: I don’t want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don’t want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don’t want to do that.

Read about how Cameron Crow talked Peter Gabriel into allowing “In Your Eyes” into the movie.

The Sure Thing

Better Off Dead

Favorite Quotes:

Lane Myer: I have great fear of tools. I once made a birdhouse in woodshop and the fair housing committee condemned it. I can’t.

Lane Myer: Sorry Johnny, I don’t have a dime.

Johnny: Didn’t ask for a dime. Two dollars.

Lane Myer: My little brother got his arm stuck in the microwave. So my mom had to take him to the hospital. My grandma dropped acid this morning, and she freaked out. She hijacked a busload of penguins. So it’s sort of a family crisis. Bye!

[slams the door shut]

Here is the movie trailer.

And really it has the greatest music video in the middle of the movie.  Van Halen’s “Everbody Wants Some.”
