I think my favorite part of this whole thing is that some one included leaders of the LDS church who are known University of Utah fans.

  1. I'm a BYU fan who is very disappointed in Max Hall's comments. Hate is a very strong word. It is not a part of the LDS believe system. We are to love everyone, even our enemies… When he said he hates Utah fans he includes my innocent grandchildren who proudly wear their U of U sweatshirts and my two daughters, two son in laws ( both members of bishoprics), many friends and neighbors, many return missionaries for the LDS church, and many LDS general authorities). There are many fans on both sides who are very honorable and fun loving and who are good sports. There are a few on both sides who arre mean-spirited and bad sports. I don't know who decided to call the rivalry a “holy war”. It is just a game. Grow up Max! Still a BYU fan–Judy Neff

  2. “A big reason why I came to B.Y.U. is that by coming to B.Y.U., especially if I was able to become a starting quarterback at B.Y.U., is the number of opportunities that I’d not only have to give service, but to represent my faith…In a sense, continue to do missionary work without being on a mission.”
    LOL Good work, Max…
