I am often amazed at the spread of technology. This weekend is The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints‘ General Conference. I was browsing LDS.ORG to see transcripts of the talks. I found out that you can watch the Conference video feed in real time in the following languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and American Sign Language. Even more amazing to me is that you can listen in real time in the following languages all via the internet: English, Arabic, Armenian, Aymara, Bulgarian, Cambodian, Cantonese, Cebuano, Chuukese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Efik, Estonian, Farsi (Persian), Fijian, Finnish, French, German, Guarani, Haitian, Creole, Hindi (India), Hmong, Hungarian, Igbo, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Lingala, Malagasy, Malay, Mandarin, Marshallese, Mongolian, Norwegian, Papiamento, Pohnpeian, Portuguese, Portuguese (EU), Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Serbian, Sinhala, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Tahitian, Tamil, Thai, Tongan, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Yoruba.
To me this is amazing that information can be transmitted in such a wide spectrum to such a large mass of people in their native tongue.
Conference Materials are produced at an incredible rate. See Schedule.
