This morning as I was catching up on the world via the World Wide Web, I came across an article on MSN with the headline:
SEE TOM BRADY AND GISELE BUNDCHEN’S IMPRESSIVE $20 MILLION HOME
I was curious how much home does one get for $20 Million.
The answer is apparently a lot. (See photo below or more photos)
22,000 sq feet or 16.92 times more than mine.
6 Car garage
Butler’s Room
Two wings connected by a bridge
Blah blah blah…
Before you go thinking Eran just has sour grapes… I really don’t care. If that’s what they wanted to purchase with their money, I have no problem with it. It’s all ok.
But what I find extremely amusing was this:
“And while their new digs are no doubt expensive, the couple hopes it will make a positive impact on the environment, too. Upon breaking ground, Bundchen ensured that energy-efficient lighting and appliances were added throughout the home, which was constructed using sustainable building materials.”
Couldn’t they have been greener by just building less house?
I find it amusing that to protect their brands they feel pressured to include this little tidbit in what was probably simply a press release about their new home. If this was truly a green decision for them why didn’t they just build a smaller house and less of an ode to conspicuous consumption?
The bottom line for me is I don’t really care that they built a huge house and I sure don’t care if it is environmentally sensitive.
