Today I was browsing through ESRI’s GIS magazine, ARC News  Winter 2012/2013 edition, when I stumbled across an amusing article on page 10. The articles title was “Greg Babinski: Tireless Advocate for Expanding GIS Use in Local Government.” In the body of the article was a graphic.

Commuters-Run-Over-Black-Children

The title of the map featured in the graphic, “Where Commuters Run Over Black Children on the Pointe-Downtown Track.”

Questions raced through my mind. What the hell kind of map is that? Do they have a map for Scandinavian American kids?  Any way I just found it amusing.
