Harry Chapin often described himself as a "third-rate folk singer." I think he was a genius folk singer who did a lot for people. His songs are deep and complex stories of life. He was a first rate storyteller. Although not as famous as Cat's in a Cradle or Taxi, WOLD is still a brilliantly written sad tale of life. Unfortuneately Harry Chapin died in a car crash in 1981.
