Lets Take Greed to the Next Level
Fox Sports: Sonics guard Ray Allen says USA Basketball should consider paying NBA players to play in the Olympics, according to a report in The Seattle Times.

Mr. Allen may you burn in hell.

Business Operations as per Sundance: Chapter 11: Tough Business Strategies

So I get this email from "the" HR Supreme Commander:

Subject: Volunteers

Message: Jerry Hill has requested help on a voluntary basis to help fill sandbags this Wednesday, May 4th from 10am -12pm. Please meet in parking lot B by the snow making pump house. All shovels and materials will be provided. Please dress appropriately. Thanks for your help!

I call to make sure that we would still be getting paid to do this. The response was “No. You will need to clock out.”

Sundance has asked its employees to clock out a lot for different community service projects like cleaning up trash around Sundance and other small projects. If it didn’t directly help the business make money and if Sundance actually paid competitively I wouldn’t complain about volunteering. However I am talking about a company that doesn’t even give Christmas off to its non essential staff. Make no mistake: Sundance just expects free volunteers to help prevent flooding. While I think its fairly important I don’t really see any major business killing damage to Sundance if we don’t sandbag. My point is this… Sundance expects us to help save the Sundance Property on our own dime. Sorry I need to be paid as I work for a living not because I am bored or have nothing better to do. Does the HR department work for free? I don’t think so. Sundance I don’t work for free either.
