Mr. West Fan’s Strike Back

It appears Friends and Fans of Mister West are currently running an email campaign to let the station know what we think of their "non-renewal" of his contract. Please send your complaints to program manager: parker@1019theend.com and station manager: eric.hauenstein@citcomm.com. In addition to complaining about this travesty I think we should complain about how much Chelsea sucks. Over the last week she has rarely come up with her own material and has been merely parroting what the others are talking about. Chelsea is the wet blanket stick in the mud at the station. Citadal Communications should: Let Her GO!!!!

The End of 101.9 KENZ

A few days ago I turned on the radio to KENZ 101.9 The End for a listen because I have a fantasy that they will do the right thing and fire Chelsea in order to resurrect a good radio station. I think that she is killing the station slowly. I think she sucks but you can read that here. Instead the radio station has decided to fire Mr. West albeit they use a different term for it: contract dispute. The truth may exist right here. The bottom-line is that Citadel Communications thinks they can do it cheaper and be more profitable unfortunately Chunga and Mr. are/were their gravy train. Personally I think that this radio station will disappear within 6 months. Chunga and Mr. have been keeping it alive and occasional bright spots with other DJ’s but they have been few and far between. I think there is a large demand in Utah for the type of radio they started out with but I think this is the swan song for this station. An Alternative Rock/New Wave station that plays 80’s classics as well as new stuff that fits in to this genre. Chunga over the last year and a half has been slipping. No longer is he as funny but has become too self-absorbed and has forgotten what his audience liked about him. Chunga seems to be suffering radio burn out or career burnout because he is doing too many other things outside of 101.9. I miss the old days of Chunga and Mr West with a little bit of Stevie Oldfield mixed in for some fun. I guess I will just keep on enjoying satellite radio.

All I want for Christmas is...

I really didn't know what I wanted for Christmas this year. I thought maybe a lift for the jeep. My wife isn't normally good at surprises... Either that or I am too paranoid to allow her to suprise me. I don't know but on November 29, she gave me a huge surprise. The Jeep needed an oil change and needed one badly. It had changed from fall to winter and I hadn't gotten around to changing the oil. She said she would swap me cars and take it in to get the rear defrost fixed under warranty (I had 200 miles left on the bumper to bumper.) and an oil change. There is something about laying on a cold garage floor under a car when the abient air temperature is 20F. She gave me some lame story about getting a free oil change for dog training. Yeah I wasn't paying attention. I had been battling a cold and was very tired. I just wanted my defrost fixed. Anyway the truth was.. she had purchased on her own a 2008 Jeep Rubicon 4-Door as my Christmas present. Boy was I surprised beyond belief. I came home after a long crappy day to a car with a bow in my garage.

Eran's 2008 Jeep JK 4Door What the... For once my wife made me speechless (a very rare occurance for a bigmouth) and in a good way...

The 2005 Jeep Rubicon 2 door I was driving didn't fit the family. Sydney's car seat didn't fit. Zach (Our 15 year old 6'2" foster child) sure didn't fit in the back. In the last two summers I have been out jeeping very little. I have missed it terrible. It is something I have loved to do since buying my first jeep in 1993.

I guess this means I need to find her a real gift for Christmas...

Here I am pulling up to the garage.

I love this photo. It shows true surprise and nothing like the humble pie that comes with aging and looking like a goof. *2008 Jeeps make one look fatter than they feel in photos...

Sydney and I the next day with her new jeep. Anytime she sees it she says "Sydney's Jeep. *2008 Jeeps make one look fatter than they feel in photos...
